jordan skyscapes
Jordan is a country with a lot of historical riches, biblical references, and natural beauty. A few days in Jordan will give a lot of opportunities to see the countryside, which keeps changing every few hours.
Sitting in the car, traveling to different places will expose you to different landscapes.
The tomato fields on the plains, the coastal highways with a glimpse of Jericho (Israel) on the other side of the sea, the dunes of Wadi rum, the castle of Karak (we were not allowed to get down due to the terror attack only a week before) and of course the crowded streets of Amman are some of the different views that we got during our week long trip.
One common feature which remains consistent are white fluffy clouds like cotton candy hovering over the bright blue sky. The reflection of the clouds on the landscape create patches of shade on the mountains, forming interesting postcard-like views of the mountains.
Traveling with a child can sometimes give you a closer look at all the places as you stop at regular intervals taking pee pit stops in souvenir shops, petrol stations, highway restaurants and cafes.
This time-lapse video was taken using a mobile selfie stick, on the route from Wadi rum to the Dead Sea.
None of the pictures in this post have been edited or any special filters used. In a way, my inadequate photography skills are proof that these landscapes are naturally beautiful.
