The Railway Museum of Nairobi is a delight for any student of history
Some of the trains are over a 100 years old and still in perfect condition. To have constructed such a massive railway system linking the earstwhile East Africa (Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya) and against great odds (Nairobi is over 3500 meters above sea level and most of the network is through jungles) required the British to just adapt their most accomplished construction model - The Indian Railways. Which is when most of the Indians were taken to Africa - to lay tracks for the EA Railway.
This train has a little history attached to it. A British soldier, sleeping near the door was pulled out of a running train by a man eating lion.
